DICKERSON, Everett Austin - Putnam

Last rites for Everett Austin Dickerson, 44, a former resident of this place, were held at Chastain funeral home Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in Roachdale cemetery. Mr. Dickerson died at the Veteran hospital at Marion Saturday morning following an extended illness. He had served two years overseas with the 89th Division Dispatch Riders during World War 1. He was born near here March 25, 1896, a son of William and Jessie McCloud Dickerson and on April 27, 1932, was married to Alta Lewis at Springville, who survives. Surviving besides the mother and the widow are a son Charles; a sister, Mrs. Grace Burdine of Mars Hill and three brothers; Cecil of North Dakota, Oliver of Indianapolis and Harold of Bridgeport.
